Because Ed is pretty much an empty shell, politically (though not as much as David Cameron), it's no surprise that he should steal the term ‘One Nation’ from a real statesman, Disraeli. Indeed he stole it from both Tony Blair and David Cameron too, who stole it from Disraeli (though some commentators have mentioned Gladstone here). So Ed’s admittance that he stole the phrase doesn’t change much. Some phrases are worth stealing.
And what about Ed’s glottal stops, which, for some reason or other, his brother, Dave, doesn’t use? Was it because Ed went to a comprehensive school (according to Ed)? Still, straight after that he went to Oxford and did the hallowed PPE (Pottery, Pumpkin-planting and Egg-racing); and it is there were the elite are created, not just as Eton or at other public schools. Is he trying to affect estuary English or even cockney? Wanker!
